Future projects towards a new horizon...

1. Complete logistic solutions:
This is one of our major projects where we intent to provide complete logistics solution to exporters and importers where they can seek our expertise in logistics operations in order to help them acheive the most profitable mode of transportation in shortest possible time. Our sister concern "India First Logistics Ltd." is launched with this purpose which is first step towards achievement of our goal.

2. Acquisition of multipurpose ships:
Mumbai port on the west coast and Chennai port on the east coast of India have been declared as "HUB" ports since there is no scope for "MEGA HUB" ports due to Draft restrictions. The role of feeder vessels and transhipment have become things of paramount importance. SKS Logistics Ltd. has realised the potentials and will be shortly adding a milestone in containers transhipment. The project is underway and the first two ships will be rolled out very soon.

3. Shiprepairing Yard and Dry Dock project:
To overcome the inadequacy of Dry Dock / Shiprepairing facility at Mumbai to some extent, the company has acquired approx. 1,27,000 sq. mtr. of land adjoining Dharmatar creek at the mouth of river, Amba. From high seas, it takes 2 hours to reach this site. The land has been leased on a long term basis. Work on the project is underway and once completed, this will be one of the best and modern Drydocks in India. Shipping companies operating on the west coast especially in Mumbai region will be greatly benefitted.

4. Shipbuilding:
SKS Logistics Ltd. will shortly go into shipbuilding activities. Initially, plan to build ships of upto 10,000 Tons DWT is in the pipeline. These ships will be basically designed for coastal operation for carrying petroleum products, cement, clinkers, steel etc.
